The trip provides time for you to hike and enjoy the beautiful landscape as well. In the evening, just some minutes away from the lake, we visit the Berchtesgaden salt mine. It is in continuous operation since 1517. Dressed like in the old times of mining gear, you begin the exciting tour through the salt mountain by riding in on the mine train. To the highlights we count the miners’ slides, a raft ride across the subterranean “Mirror Lake,” and the Salt Cathedral.
